Elliot shared with SAP customers ideas on "the SAP Analytics in combination with innovation to create the intelligent enterprise that harnesses the opportunity of the latest trends such as social media, mobile, Big Data and Cloud."
He discussed how to use best the analytics tools and the breakthroughs on what can be done. "When things change, it is the technology that changes, and the massive change is in in-memory," he remarked, "The distinction between enterprise resource planning (ERP) and analytics is going away."
Timed with his recent Manila visit, SAP Philippines announced the availability of SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA, a new option for SAP Business Suite customers.
Referring to in-memory platform and HANA, Elliot said "only SAP is going all the way and running it all in one system."
SAP is now the only provider of an integrated family of business applications that captures and analyzes transactional date in real time on a single in-memory platform. This gives companies the "unprecedented ability to translate real-time insights to action immediately while removing the complexity of redundant data and systems."
In addition, the platform is designed to deliver new business value across end-to-end business processes and will fundamentally change the way companies do business and interact with each other.
"SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA represents a breakthrough in business intelligence for our customers. SAP Business Suite offers more powerful opportunities for business growth by enabling business enterprises to analyze and manage data in real-time across several business applications," said Darren Rushworth, SAP Country Managing Director for PH and Emerging Markets.
Added Paul Marriot, Vice President for SAP HANA, SAP APJ, "Customers can now manage all mission-critical business processes in real time such as planning, execution, reporting and analysis by using the same relevant live data."
For SAP customers that choose to migrate to SAP HANA, SAP is providing a comprehensive set of services, rapid-deployment solutions, as well as trained implementation consultants from its large ecosystem of partners. A special rapid-deployment solution, planned to be released in the first quarter of 2013, will be designed for customers to go live in less than six months.
